To me, successful graphic design is a marriage of typography and image. Whether it be graphics, photography, or illustration, using an image to empower your message reaches people. I like to meet clients one-on-one and discuss more than "What do you want it to look like?" I take your mission, ideals, and your personal message into consideration and from there develop ideas about style and design. I design from my home office in the South Coast of Massachusetts.
I earned a BFA in Visual Design, Digital Media, from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. I have over five years of professional experience working full time as an in-house designer as well as freelancing in my personal studio. I worked on various projects including websites, logo designs, banner designs, flyers, invitations, magazines, books, online journals, and app interface design and graphics. I have experience working with a team, contacting the printer, or independently managing your projects.
When I'm not designing, you can find me renovationg a small 100-year-old house that I call home with my husband Chris. I document our experience in small space living in a DIY blog over at Itty Bitty Living. I also love to bake and worked as a professional cake decorator for five years. I speak fluent Portuguese and understand Spanish and am currently trying to learn French. I have a passion for travel, and when my husband and I find a spare moment (they don't happen very often!) we'll probably be jetting around, experiencing new cultures.
